This High-Protein Chocolate Banana Bread is incredibly easy to make using our Dojo Fresh Chocolate Protein Pancake Mix. The bananas add natural sweetness and a soft texture, while the pancake mix boosts the protein and chocolatey flavor. It’s perfect for breakfast, snacks, or a feel-good dessert — all with simple ingredients and minimal prep.
Ingredients
-
8 ounces Dojo Fresh Chocolate Protein Pancake Mix (1 pack)
- 2 large ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 cup)
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup milk of choice (oat, almond, dairy, etc.)
- ¼ cup oil or melted butter
- ¼ cup maple syrup or sugar (optional, for sweetness)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
-
½ cup chocolate chips (optional)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line with parchment.
- In a bowl, whisk together: mashed bananas, eggs, milk, oil, maple syrup/sugar, and vanilla.
Add the chocolate protein pancake mix, stirring until just combined. (Don’t overmix.)
- Fold in chocolate chips if using.
- Pour batter into the loaf pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean (a little melted chocolate is okay).
- Cool for 10–15 minutes before slicing.
Recipe Note
Optional Variations:
- Peanut Butter Swirl: Add 2–3 tbsp warmed peanut butter and swirl into the batter.
- Mocha Banana Bread: Add 1 tsp instant espresso powder for a subtle coffee kick.
- Chunky Walnut: Mix in ½ cup chopped walnuts for crunch.
- Coconut Chocolate: Fold in ½ cup shredded coconut.
To make this recipe vegan, simply:
- Use plant-based milk instead of dairy milk.
- Use oil instead of butter.
- Add dairy-free chocolate chips if desired.
- Omit the eggs
The result is still tasty and protein-packed, though the loaf will be slightly denser than the egg version.
